OSEO INNOVATION (in the past ANVAR support)

On 21st March 2002, the Délégation Générale pour l’Armement (DGA) and the Agence Nationale de Valorisation de la Recherche (National research promotion agency - ANVAR) signed an agreement with a view to supporting SME-SMIs who offered up innovative proposals with defence applications or in the dual technologies field. This protocol also provides for collaboration in technological monitoring and support for SME-SMIs when they are bidding against European calls for tender. Through this protocol, the DGA and ANVAR renamed OSEO INNOVATION express their mutual desire to unite in support of innovative SME-SMIs and retain an advanced industrial fabric.

This protocol offers support for innovation by means of repayable loans of up to 50% for successful cases. It is planned to last for three years. 2002 is a trial period: 9 pilot regions have been selected. These are: Ile de France, Rhône-Alpes, Brittany, the Centre, Provence-Alpes-Côtes d’Azur, Midi-Pyrenees, Aquitaine, Lorraine and the Franche-Comté. Starting in 2002, 2.3 million € has been set aside by the DGA for OSEO INNOVATION. The arrangement will be extended to all regions in 2003.

DGA representatives, appointed in the pilot regions, have been tasked, in association with the regional OSEO INNOVATION delegation, with the initial filtering of subjects that might have defence applications and with representing the DGA at local innovation support allocation panels.

Requests for support should be submitted directly to your regional OSEO INNOVATION delegation. This arrangement is in addition to that for unsolicited proposals.
