The first qualification launching of the Aster 30 missile proceeded successfully on the test field of the Centre d’Essais de Lancement de Missiles (DGA/CELM) of Biscarrosse (France) on October 12, 2005. This shooting tests was carried out in the framework of PAAMS (principle anti-air missile system) program. Two previous shooting test performed by the manufacturer had taken place in November 2004 and June 2005.

The last-born of the French military telecommunications satellites "Syracuse 3A" was launched successfully from the Kourou base in Guyana Thursday October 13, 2005. This successful launching signs a new significant step in the military capacities increasing of France.

The Indian government is going to purchase 6 Scorpène type submarines and 36 "Exocet" SM39 type missiles. The two contracts have been just obtained respectively by Armaris, which is a jointventure between DCN and the group of electronics “Thales defence”, and with MBDA.

The 46th International Paris Airshow which will be held in Le Bourget (near Paris in France) will open from the 13 to June 19 2005 between 9h30 to 18h.
It will be inaugurated by the President of the Republic Monday June 13.
From the 13 to June 16, the access will be reserved to trade visitors.
From the 17 to June 19, for trade visitors and general public.

For its 9th edition, the Companie-Defence symposium will be held May the 24, and 25 2005 in "Quartier Jayat" of the DCMAT (Central Direction of the Material of the Army) in Versailles Satory (near Paris in France).

François Lureau, deputy of DGA (the French Armament Procurment Agency) made public on April 21 the 2005 results obtained by the DGA in 2004. These reflect the actions of the DGA towards the armed forces, the research and the economic development, the Europe of Defence edification and the participation of the DGA in the modernization of the French Ministry for Defense.
