Meeting deadlines

The time periods and deadlines indicated in a contract are contractual time periods or end dates for the execution of the work to which the contractor is committed. Non-compliance with these periods or dates by the contractor incurs sanctions imposed by the Administration.

Definition of times and deadlines

Time periods are generally expressed in months.

In particularly critical cases, specific completion deadlines can be established.

The time periods and deadlines in a given contract may be:

-  Delivery dates,
-  A date for submission for verification operations (carried out in the factory or at the delivery location),
-  A period of validity (ongoing contracts such as management or maintenance services).

Time periods and deadlines are generally counted from the date of notification of the contract or from affirmation of a tranche but a later date may be notified to the contractor officially in writing.
