"Horizon" is a modern intelligence system which associates both aptitudes of an helicopter and a radar and benefits from the power of the most recent data processing programs. The Horizon system is able to detect, localise, classify and recognize helicopters at low altitude, land vehicles and also boats. The system could be easily sent into a theatre of operations. From the data collected, the Horizon system works out and updates the tactical situation and provides target data in real time to the artillery, helicopters and ground attack aircraft.

The first system has been in service with the French Army Aviation since 1996.
