DCN and Technicatome are the main contractors for the aircraft-carrier Charles de Gaulle delivered to the French Navy at the end of september 2000.

The Charles de Gaulle falls within a defence strategy suited to contemporary geopolitical realities. It is the ideal response to occasional crises spread throughout the world.

Its superiority is expressed by its naval aviation, its combat system and its autonomy: the high level of integration of the combat system puts the aircraft carrier in the heart of an unequalled communications system, the high performance stabilisation system allows numerous aircraft to be used in rough seas, and nuclear propulsion increases the autonomy of the naval air group.
